Rachel Baribeau has proven herself versatile not only as a sports reporter but as a catalyst for social change. She recognized that becoming the first female reporter to participate in a professional football training camp gave her unique insights into how women are regarded in the sports industry today. Then she gifted those insights back into the industry through her #ChangingtheNarrative movement, a carefully constructed initiative that teaches young male and females athletes how to use their platforms to improve how young women are treated both at universities and within society as a whole. The movement is opening countless doors for women across the country, thereby improving the national discourse in sports by adding valuable voices, and Baribeau is just getting started. Listen to the full episode to learn more about the life she’s lived, and how it’s allowed her to advance in her career and give back in so many ways.
